Bellamy Young
Young's acting career began in the theater. In 1997, she made her Broadway debut as Mary in the initial production of The Life. In addition, she performed off Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rolled Along (1994) and as Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995-96). She made her first appearance on TV in 1995 as the character Dr. Courtney Evans. In 1997 and 1998, she was a guest star on Law & Order, playing two roles. The film debut came in 1999. She had the role of a minor character in Black and White. In the years following, she appeared in several independent movies. From the mid-2000s onwards, she began guest-starring parts on various TV comedies and dramas, like The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Between 2000 and 2011, Young was a regular guest on more than 30 appearances on tv shows. in 2003 Young was cast as a regular in The USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes of a season, the series ended up being cancelled. The actress played the role of Deputy Dist. on The Lifetime series For the People. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami between 2005 and 2006 and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family. In addition, she had a frequent part in Criminal Minds as Beth Clemmons from 2011 until 2013.
